Because we don't get much internet time I write down my blogs in my journal and then type it out when I get the chance so this is what I wrote a week ago... I think.. Been good, painting, cleaning floors, washing clothes - at one point I thought I was allergic to primer(the thing u put on the walls before u start painting) I even took a pill for it, but apparently it was just heat rash. I've been to so many hot places e.g. our farm in Namibia during summer and Zanzibar with hectic humidity and I still have yet to experience heat rash up until this point. Weird. The team is great, working together and especially spending time with he kids *happy times* usually we've to crafts with teachings about the Father and having a relationship with him, but recently, we just chilled out with all he kids, so more of us talk to the older kids - they're cool people! Wonderful God-made beings:D It's nice and really precious when they talk to you and give you little snippets of themselves or about what school life/India life is like, e.g. Fashion - Sari (x2) - I've bought two, and we've all had some good times dressing me up in them. Yes I look good - really good, and the fro just tops it all off! I'm like a blend of Africa and Asian :D OH YEAH:D The sermons have been ON POINT! You walk away fully understanding the truth about God's grace and what he wants for us and basically the epicentre of Christianity being the change that happens when we accept Christ - most importantly in doing so, we learn to live not by he law, expecting it to be the thing that saves us from our sins (because that would be like saying Jesus isn't enough), instead we are grounded by his grace. We recognise how precious we are in God's eyes and therefore the reality of that which leads to the big amazing lives God has planned for our precious selves. This includes an intimate relationship with him and a life through which God will bless others. So now, thinking about all of that, I realise how I don't want to waste the precious freedom and life Christ has given me on lies, and actions that will end up hurting me more than anything because God - and my mom - say I'm do precious!:) and so are you! That's the amazing news I've been getting here, so good because I've often found myself living for God's law (in which case I may as well have been Jew) rather than in his grace which sucked because there is just no way I'd be able to truly fulfill all the laws. They are my guidelines now. Next up is identities in Christ:) kinda like freedom prayer, hearing from God about the person you really are, who he created you to be:) Other exciting news is I am no longer injured (my finger had a cut) so now I am able to wash clothes again:) which is a big deal because I need to be washing clothes in order to wear clean clothes :) Another thing! Indian food , next to my moms cooking is my happy food place!! So good! I considered having an Indian husband again, but it is the women that cook so maybe an Indian chef? Or just a chef that specialises in Indian food. Well either way, even if I don't marry, the children I adopt will know how to make Indian dishes.

P.S. Matt, a stone is not harsh when my life is at stake P.P.S. I got my student accomodation sorted out. :D

  1. Congrats on getting the accom sorted. Sounds like you're all having a great (if slightly challenging) time and glad you're enjoying the local cuisine.

    Couple of points though.
Firtly, I'm thrilled to get a mention, but please try to spell my name right in future! 1 T is enough.
Secondly, could I please request some paragraphs in your future posts. This block of prose was fun and informative to read, but it did make my eyes melt.
Break it up a little, add some structure, verse, chorus, verus, chorus, brigde...

  2. Love the prose! Ama, you are a good writer and I love hearing it all thank you. If Chas could write a sentence once it would be grand! Still praying for you guys and hope you're all on the mend now.
